Problem Solving: AI Applications in Water & Wastewater Management

Modern water and wastewater management faces unprecedented operational challenges, from non-revenue water loss and leakages to complex treatment efficiency in rapidly growing cities. The AI Applications in Water & Wastewater Management course was created to bridge the gap between traditional environmental engineering and modern artificial intelligence. By addressing real-world utility problems directly, it equips professionals with actionable technology solutions to improve water supply chains, forecast demand, and monitor water quality effectively.

Co-designed and led by an international team of academic and industry experts from Mahidol University, Griffith University, Kathmandu University, and the Intellectuals Center; this program prioritizes practical application over algorithm-heavy mathematics. Delivered through live interactive online sessions, the curriculum combines short, context-driven lectures with real utility scenarios, hands-on prompt design exercises, and collaborative group workshops.

Participants will gain hands-on skills in applying AI and machine learning tools to translate complex engineering issues into actionable AI models. By the end of the course, attendees will know how to interpret technical data outputs, build anomaly detection workflows, navigate ethical and responsible AI frameworks, and defend a complete AI-enabled water project concept through a final capstone presentation.

Let's plan something that makes a difference.
